Sky is attempting to improve its share of the home phone and broadband market by offering free evening and weekend calls and a free broadband allowance to its TV customers.
Two new packages are being offered by the telecoms firm alongside the standard Sky Talk Freetime deal.
The free package includes up 20mb download speeds with a 2GB monthly usage allowance for broadband, in addition to the landline call charge benefits.
Alternatively, customers can also opt to pay an additional £7.50 per month alongside the cost of Sky Talk Freetime and receive unlimited monthly usage in addition to the free weekend and evening home phone calls offered as part of the free deal.
Earlier this month, MoneySavingExpert.com pointed out that one of the cheapest line rental deals available on the market at the moment are provided by Primus Saver, which is offering landline packages starting at £9 per month.
This is lower than the likes of BT, Virgin and TalkTalk.
