Primus line rental costs 'better than other home phone providers'

Home phone and landline packages from Primus Saver have been picked out as among the cheapest on the market by MoneySavingExpert.com.
Line rental can be cut to £9 per month with Primus, which is lower than BT, Virgin or TalkTalk, according to the consumer advice website.
The website also pointed to Primus' free evening and weekend calls as another element that helps it remain competitive in the home phone market.
In addition to selecting the best buys, MoneySavingExpert.com also offered telecoms customers advice on how to cut their landline costs.
Opting for paperless billing and paying by direct debit were just two of the options available.
Adhering to the unlimited call packages free call deadlines is also important, with Primus offering the longest period before customers are required to redial, at 90 minutes.
Recently, many leading home phone providers have been reducing package costs in a bid to garner favour with customers.
However, TalkTalk and BT have bucked the trend by announcing rises in the cost of landline services over the last two months.
