Passengers using First Great Western's services will soon have access to free Wi-Fi broadband.
The company has agreed a deal with Wi-Fi operator The Cloud, which will lead to the technology being rolled out across 32 stations across Britain, with connectivity available on platforms and station concourses.
Station contracts manager for First Great Western Robert Jackson said: "Travellers now expect to be able to access the internet wherever they are, especially to pass the time during their commutes."
Mr Jackson went on to say that the decision to upgrade Wi-Fi was an easy one to make, particularly due to the increasing popularity of the technology.
More people will be able to access the internet on the move in coming years, as Ofcom has announced plans to improve 4G coverage across Britain.
The watchdog is hoping to ensure that a minimum of 98 per cent of the country's population will be able to use the technology.
