Businesses and homeowners in the East Riding have been urged to take part in research that aims to improve broadband packages in the region.
A number of surveys have been uploaded to the East Riding of Yorkshire Council's website, which officials hope will help them to understand the standard of internet connections for firms and residents in the area, ahead of the potential installation of superfast services.
Councillor Jonathan Owen, the council's deputy leader and portfolio holder for performance, improvement and partnerships, said: "The provision of reliable broadband services across the whole of the East Riding is vital to ensure the area is not left behind as internet services continue to develop."
Mr Owen explained that the success of East Riding's broadband plans is reliant on families and businesses demonstrating that better connections are necessary.
Leicestershire could also see more homes gain improved broadband services, as its local council has agreed to add £4 million to its budget for the technology.
