The roll out of superfast broadband packages in Bodmin is fantastic news, two business owners in the area believe.
Gill Jenkins runs Bedknobs B&B, while her husband Kim Roscoe is the owner of Kelta Systems, and they have told the Cornish Guardian that the internet upgrade will transform what is possible for them to do in future.
Speaking to the news provider, Mr Roscoe explained: "For Bedknobs it will mean we can offer superfast Wi-Fi to guests, which will mean we can provide a better service particularly for business travellers as well as being able to offer Skype to all our guests."
He added that the new technology will enable Kelta Systems to decrease its turnaround time on projects, while presenting new marketing opportunities.
Plans for better connections have also been announced in other areas of the UK, with Herefordshire Council's cabinet recently backing proposals for its 2012/2013 budget to feature £6 million of funding for broadband.
